Australian actor Daniel Lapaine made his film debut as an expatriate Olympic swimmer with comedy hit [i]Muriel's Wedding[/i]. After this performance, Daniel returned to a successful stage career having previously starred in productions of [i]Hamlet, Richard III[/i] and the one man show [i]Island[/i]. A playwright as well as an actor, he also saw several of his writings produced on the stage, including [i]Cloud Cuckooland[/i] and [i]The White Room[/i]. A few years later Lapaine returned to the big screen, including parts in period pieces [i]Dangerous Beauty[/i] and [i]54[/i] (both 1998). After playing Claire Danes' older brother in [i]Polish Wedding[/i] (1998), Lapaine re-teamed with the actress, this time as her betrayer, in the drama [i]Brokedown Palace[/i] (1999). Lapaine was also featured in the action thriller [i]Double Jeopardy[/i], starring Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones.
Lincoln made his first on-screen appearance in an episode of [i]Drop the Dead Donkey[/i] but he rose to fame as an actor in the popular British series [i]This Life[/i], playing Edgar "Egg" Cook, before going on to star in the hit comedy drama [i]Teachers[/i] (of which he directed two episodes in the third series). He also has a lead role as university lecturer and psychologist Robert Bridge in [i]afterlife[/i] next to Lesley Sharp. Lincoln appears on the big screen with roles in [i]Human Traffic, Love Actually, Enduring Love[/i] and [i]Scenes of a Sexual Nature[/i].
